Darlene's Strengths & Accomplishments:

  • Leadership skills honed with numerous appointments, projects, and volunteer work throughout her career

  • Lakes Project - she spearheaded a 7-year project to transform dead golf courses into beautiful lakes in the Palm-Aire community

  • Palm-Aire Country Club Association 4 President for the last 10+ years

  • City of Pompano Beach Planning and Zoning Board - a long-term member who contributes her "Planned Development" style

  • City of Pompano Beach Economic Development Council - an active member of this organization that is tasked with managing community improvement.  Specific to District 5, I worked on the NW 31 Avenue task force to recommend some zoning changes and street improvements for this important entryway into our city.

  • Palm Aire United -  A respected director of the board who fights for issues important to all Palm-Aire residents

  • Lakes, Trails, Green Space - she chairs this committee and interfaces with City Representatives to develop and maintain our local environment

  • Trail Walker’s Gatherings - she is co-founder with her husband of this grassroots organization of Palm-Aire walkers, bikers, runners, and dog walkers

  • Phase One Computing Services (small business since 1986) - she is Founder & President of this small accounting software firm

  • City Church Treasurer - she provides fiscal guidance to this Fort Lauderdale-based Christian Church

  • Broward County Native, resident of Pompano Beach since 2003
